Ad Valorem Tax

The City of Concord has one of the lowest tax rates of any city its size in North Carolina. Local property taxes on real and personal property are paid annually through the Cabarrus County Tax Administration Office.

Income Tax

North Carolina income taxes (and estimated taxes) are paid similarly to Federal income taxes.

Employers must withhold state income taxes for employees.

Employer Tax

An employer's portion of the North Carolina unemployment tax (state unemployment tax, or SUTA) must be paid on a regular basis. Sales Tax

Retail businesses must collect state and local sales taxes, currently totaling 7.75%. For information on how and where to remit these taxes, contact the local office of the N.C.
