
Engine Company 10 was placed in service on October 15, 2010 and operated from the Odell VFD station on Hwy.73 until the temporary station was completed.
Fire Station 10 opened January 7, 2011 and operates from a temporary station located at 4198 Darby Creek Drive. This station houses a fire company which serves the Western Growth Area of Concord. This site contains property previously purchased at 9880 Poplar Tent Road (near Harris Road). This will be the location of a permenent station that will replace the temporary building at some point in the future. Fire Station 10 is a temporary building which will be used until a permanent station is built in the future. The permanent station is planned to be a traditionally styled two-bay fire station which will also include quarters for the Concord Police Department's Edward District Office.
An Open House on Wednesday, May 18, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 pm provided tours of the station, the department had their Fire Safety House on site to provide fire safety outreach to the area. This event was well attended with many residents stopping in to tour the facility.
