Training Center

The Training Center is located with Fire Station 3 complex located at 100 Warren C. Coleman Blvd N. The Training Center includes four classrooms; two of which are equipped for video conferencing, a recruit classroom, and a smaller classroom. Offices for the Battalion Chief and Battalion Captain overseeing Training and Safety are located at the complex, also. A four-story training tower and a pump test pit (for testing up to 1,500 gpm pumpers) are on site. In addition, the training complex also includes a large L-shaped training container that allows for live fire training (including stairway entry from the top to simulate basement fires), ventilation props, a changeable search and rescue maze, and many other features to provide personnel with realistic fire and rescue training evolutions.

A secondary training area is included at Fire Station 9, which includes a community room that can be used for specialty classes and is equipped for video conferencing and can be split into two separate classrooms. A pump test pit (capable of testing pumps rated over 2,000 gpm) is also available.
