Welcome, and thank you for visiting us at the Concord Parks and Recreation Department. Whether you are looking for recreational programming, hours of operation or the closest park or greenway, we have something for you.
Providing quality programming and services and a safe, aesthetically pleasing greenway and park system is the commitment we make every day to families and residents of Concord. We take great pride in providing services that enhance quality of life and we strive to make our community a great place to live.
Make time for yourself and family to take a walk through one of our parks. Walk, jog or bike the greenways, visit one of our community centers and participate in a recreational class or program. There is no better time to invest in a healty future than today.

Park Police Officer Mike Drake
Police Officer Mike Drake and his K-9 partner Udo are responsible for maintaining the safety in the City parks and greenways.
Officer Mike Drake is a native of the City of Concord and has been employed with the Concord Police Department for over 22 years. He has over 26 years of law enforcement experience and spent all of those years in the Patrol Division.
Mike has also been an active member of the Police Department's K-9 unit for the last 20 years, having worked four different K-9 partners in that time. He will now assume the position as the Department's K-9 trainer along with his duties of patrolling the City parks and greenways.
Mike's partner Udo is a 7 1/2 year old, 90 lb. Hungarian German Shepherd. Mike and Udo are looking forward to the change of scenery that goes along with the new duties of patrolling the parks and greenways. Mike and Udo are looking forward to keeping the Park Watch program going. This program encourages the users of the parks and greenways to keep their eyes open and to report violations of park rules and suspicious behavior.
