Captain Tim R. Templeton is a native of Kannapolis, North Carolina.  He graduated from A.L. Brown High School in 1980.  Templeton has been happily married to Kelly Griffin Templeton for 23 years.  They live in Concord and have two children, Griffin and Hannah. 

In February 13, 1984, Templeton was hired as a patrol officer with Concord Police.  Since being hired, Templeton has worked in the Patrol Division, Traffic Division, Administration, and currently is a Patrol Division Commander assigned to the David District.

In 1987, Templeton earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Rowan Cabarrus Community College.  In 1997, Templeton earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Pfeiffer University.

Templeton believes each officer must always display the highest degree of professionalism (Appearance, Attitude, Communications, and Enforcement).  Also officers must have compassion for others and self control.  Templeton promotes community policing and expects all officer to deliver services that customers demand.
