Pollution Prevention & Good Housekeeping

The aim of the pollution prevention and good housekeeping program is to prevent or reduce stormwater pollution from municipal operations.

As part of the program the City will review and inventory activities and that could result in potential pollutant runoff. The City is planning to eventually inventory City owned facilities, operations, stormwater system and BMPs. Once the inventory is completed, an annual evaluation program and corresponding reporting system for documentation purposes will be developed. Finally, a training program will be established to educate all City employees on clean water issues and workplace responsibilities to reduce or eliminate pollutants from stormwater.
