Pet waste often enters bodies of water when pet owners do not clean up after their pets.  City of Concord pet owners are strongly encouraged to pick up after their pets.  An easy way to do so is to carry a baggie or two when you walk your dog.  Pet waste is properly disposed of in the garbage or even flushed (minus the baggies).

• Contains harmful bacteria (E. Coli)
• Makes bodies of water unsafe for swimming & fishing
• Contains nitrogen and phosphorus (like fertilizers), contributes to nutrient pollution & causes eutrophication process
