The City of Concord's Transportation Department works hard to maintain streets, sidewalks, signs, curb & gutter, guardrail, traffic signals, and much more. This keeps the traffic, roadways and pedestrian areas safe for citizens and those passing through.
Our department maintains:

- 343.13 miles of paved street
- 244.54 miles of sidewalk
- 4.57 miles of guard rail
- Over 12,000 signs and street blades

Winter is coming! December 21st is the first day of winter. Cold weather is fast approaching, and the transportation department is ready to keep our roadways safe and clear.
A group of employees in the Transportation Department recently participated in United Way's "Week of Caring". We were excited to lend our hands for a local Habitat for Humanity project in Concord.
