Fire Station 9

Station 9

Fire Station No. 9 was officially dedicated on December 17, 2008. Located at 1020 Ivey Cline Road, the station was staffed an engine company, ladder company, and a battalion chief beginning December 4, 2008. This is the first of three stations proposed to serve the rapidly expanding “Western Growth Area” of Concord. The companies assigned to this station also provide critical service to existing areas of the city currently served by Engines 5, 6, and 7. The station is located at the intersection of Ivey Cline Road and Poplar Tent Road adjacent to Interstate 85. Units assigned to this station include: Engine Company 9, Reserve Ladder Company 81, Reserve Ladder Company 82, Brush 9, and Battalion 2. Fire Station 9 also includes one Community/Training Room which can be sub-divided for use by the public.

Fire Station No.9’s first due area includes a mixture of residential, multi-family, industrial, commercial occupancies, race shops, Concord-Padgett Regional Airport as well as the I-85 corridor.
