Greenway Rental Information, Please call 704-920-5600

Rental Fee for Greenways is $350.00 plus $500.00 deposit. Fee is for a 6 hour rental period for road races and walks. Events to be complete at 12:00 p.m. Fee covers reservations of both McGee and Myers Park and all their amenities. Includes parking on the ballfields, mile markers, time clock and a Parks and Recreation liaison.

Amphitheater and Picnic Shelter Rental Fees:

City of Concord Residents:  Half day rental $10.00 for time slot of  Park Opening to 2:00 p.m. OR 3:00 p.m. to Park Closing. The fee for full day - Park Opening to Park Closing  is $20.00.

Non City Residents:  $25.00 per half day in time slot of Park Opening to 2:00 p.m. OR 3:00 p.m. to Park Closing. The fee for full day - Park Opening  to Park Closing is $35.00.  

Park Hours

APRIL-OCTOBER Open daily from 8:00am until 9:00pm. Lighted field and court facilities close at 11:00pm

NOVEMBER-MARCH Open daily from 8:00am until 7:00pm. Lighted field and court facilities close at 10:00pm

Information on how to make a reservation:

Reservations are required for all facilities even though some facilities may not have a fee. For rental rates, please print and review the “Parks and Recreation Facility Guide" which is available on the top of this page.

Reservations for facilities, picnic shelters and fire station community rooms should be requested between the hours of  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the following locations:

Harold McEachern Greenway:

This 10 ft. wide paved asphalt trail extends almost one mile alongside Branchview Drive from Les Myers Park on Lawndale Avenue up to Mickey McGee Park on Corban Avenue. A pedestrian tunnel provides access from Les Myers Park to McGee Park. 

 

 

Hartsell:

This 14 acre park has playground equipment, a picnic shelter, volleyball, horseshoes and a concrete skating rink and restroom facilities.

This 40 acre park has playground equipment, picnic sites and shelters, volleyball courts, horseshoe courts, baseball and softball complex, ¾ mile gravel walking trail and restroom building. This park has several one table picnic shelters and individual picnic tables that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not required.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Weddington Road Bark Park

This 2.1 acre dog park offers a .6 acre area for small dogs less than 20 pounds and a 1.5 acre area for large dogs over 20 pounds. This facility also has restrooms, playground and a walking trail.  Experience the wetland scenery at the nearby Hector H. Henry II Greenway on Weddington Rd. This is an easy 1.3 mile walk that connects the Bark Park to Embassy Suites. There are two parking options: 8955 Weddington Rd. or at Embassy Suites, 5400 John Q. Hammonds Drive.

Recreation Centers:

The Concord Parks and Recreation Department has three recreation centers that have a variety of recreational opportunities available to the public at no charge. The centers are equipped with game rooms offering billiards, foosball, bumper pool, air hockey, shuffleboard and table tennis. The centers have weight rooms available to men and women and are equipped with machines, free weights and cardiovascular equipment. The centers offer free-play basketball in the gymnasiums. Meeting rooms are available for rental.
