ClearWater Artist Studios is establishing a community of creative social energy in Gibson Village and emerging as a destination in Concord's center-City area. The former City water works and utility operations facilities have been reimagined and redeveloped over the last decade, and now host dozens of artists, community events, and more. A new video is on clearwaterartists.com showcasing everything ClearWater has to offer and plans for the future.

Heading to the race? It's a great time to try transit
Rider Transit can help you get to the May races at Charlotte Motor Speedway, on May 18 and May 26 for the NASCAR All-Star Race and Coca-Cola 600 Race. Pre-race shuttle service will begin at 12:30 pm on race days and run until 8:30 pm. Post-race shuttle service will begin immediately following the checkered flag and run for two hours. Citizen active violence awareness and training workshop
Concord's public safety departments are teaming up to offer their first citizen active violence awareness and training workshop on Thursday, June 6, at Cannon School's Cindric Performing Arts Center (5801 Poplar Tent Road). The free, two-hour class will begin at 6:30p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m. Public safety professionals from the City of Concord's Communications, Emergency Management, Fire, and Police Departments will jointly present this interactive program for citizens age 14 and older or members of any business, place of worship, school, or other organization located in the City of Concord.
