Did you know?
Did you know a 911 communicator enters your request into a computer system and broadcasts it on the radio usually while you are still on the telephone? Communicators continue to ask information so the responding units are updated by radio and mobile computers. The computers provide address history, mapping, call records, and access to many other systems to cross check for wanted persons or stolen property.
Cabarrus Meals on Wheels gets a helping hand
Ten special volunteers helped deliver food and drinks to homebound clients of Cabarrus Meals on Wheels on Wednesday. About 400 people receive food from Meals on Wheels, and approximately 20 people are on the waiting list to receive food. Those who are on the waiting list live on routes that are full, but with more volunteers, those people could become clients. Visit for more information.
