Residents in Tuesday collection area up next for second loose leaf collection
Solid Waste’s annual loose leaf collection season continues next week. This popular program provides each Concord resident three opportunities to have un-bagged leaves collected curbside, from October through January. Bagged leaves are collected year-round on a weekly basis, on the normal garbage and recycling collection day. Customers on the TUESDAY garbage collection route must have leaves at the curb by 6 a.m. on Monday, November 2 for crews to collect them during the first collection cycle. City of Concord encourages responsible political sign disposal
With Tuesday's municipal election complete, the City of Concord is encouraging candidates and members of the public to find other places for political signs than the landfill. Those removing these signs are encouraged to reuse them for other purposes. For residents without reuse opportunities, plastic and cardboard signs can be recycled in Concord's curbside recycling program. Simply remove all wood or metal stakes before recycling as these materials are not allowed in your black carts. Visit for more information.
