Did you know?
Did you know a few drops of food coloring could save you money? Check toilets for silent leaks by putting a couple drops of food coloring in the tank and waiting 10 minutes. If colored water appears in the bowl, you may have a leak, and you probably need to replace the flapper in your tank. Even a small leak can waste up to 30 gallons of water per day! Two weeks of racing kicks off with Haulers on Union
NASCAR has made its spring homecoming to Concord, kicking off with yesterday's Haulers on Union parade and fan fest. More than 30 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series haulers paraded down Union Street en route to Charlotte Motor Speedway, while fans enjoyed a variety of activities including race cars on display, celebrity autographs, corn hole, horseshoes, life-size Connect 4, a beer garden and more. Following the parade, country music artists Acoustic South and beach music, soul, and R&B from The Tams warmed the spirits on a cool May evening. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation classes are regularly offered free of charge to the public courtesy of the Concord Fire Department. This class is not for certification, but educates the public in the lifesaving skill of CPR. The latest research indicates that "hands only" or compression only CPR has a tremendous positive effect on the survivability rates in cardiac incidents. This class will teach you the fundamentals of CPR in adults and infants, and the use of an automatic electronic defibrillator. The next class will be June 3, click here to register and for more information.
