City of Concord to observe Good Friday April 10
Friday, April 3, 2020

CONCORD – In observance of Good Friday, City of Concord offices will be closed Friday, April 10. Some City services will operate on a different schedule the week of April 6.

With the exception of the previously announced suspension of mattress collection, garbage, recycling, and bulky waste collection will operate on the normal schedule next week. However, all customers are asked to place yard waste at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6. Yard waste will be collected by the end of the day Thursday, April 9.

Customers are reminded that all garbage, recycling, and bulky waste must be placed at curb by 6:00 a.m. on their collection day. If items are set out after 6:00 a.m., they may not be located and miss collection. Customers should consider placing items at the curb after 5:00 p.m. the night before, and can visit concordnc.gov/whatsmyday or download the CARTology mobile app to verify their collection schedule.

Rider Transit will operate on a regular schedule.

City parks and greenways remain open on the normal schedule, with the exception of the previously announced playground closure due to COVID-19. Additionally, all recreation centers and other facilities remain closed to the public until further notice.

Also previously announced, the events and programs typically organized by Concord Parks and Recreation this time of year have been cancelled, including Bunny Run 5K and Festival planned for April 11. For more information, call 704-920-5600.
