As news of PFC James Fleet McClamrock’s death while serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq spread to Concord, members of the community quickly offered their support. The City of Concord joins them in offering condolences to his family, and is grateful for his service to and sacrifice for our country.

Mayor Padgett has been in contact with the family, and has worked with the City Manager to ensure that City of Concord coworkers offer their support to the family in whatever way possible. There will be a procession carrying his body from the Charlotte Airport to Hartsell Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 15. Even though the City’s involvement in these events will never repay the debt of gratitude owed to PFC McClamrock and his family, it is done with deepest sincerity and a heartfelt appreciation of his service to our country.
