Welcome to the City of Concord Housing Department

 

The City of Concord Housing Department has been committed to providing safe, decent and affordable housing to low-income residents in Cabarrus County since 1956. The Housing Department offers affordable rental housing and four (4) public housing sites. The Housing Department administers a number of  programs, such as the Housing Choice Voucher Program, the Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS), and the ROSS Homeownership Program. These programs help to promote more self-sufficiency and economic homeownership opportunities for local residents.

Mission Statement:

Due to the State of North Carolina issuing a State of Emergency in response to Covid-19, the City of Concord
Housing Department operations are open, however closed to the public.  For immediate assistance, please
email or call 704-920-6100 between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.


 

Housing Update

Dear Resident:

 

I know this is a stressful time for us and I pray everyone remains healthy and safe. 

In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Concord Housing Department is temporarily closed to the public. 

 

RENT IS STILL DUE

 

Effective Monday, March 23, 2020 a drop box will be available to residents for rental payments.  Please keep in mind that Concord Housing accepts payments by check or money order onlyYour money order must be filled out completely with your address and the rent statement must be submitted with your payment.  This will ensure that payment is applied to the correct account. 

 

If you have any needed work orders, maintenance requests can still be submitted by telephone.

Lastly, to safeguard the public and aid the community the City of Concord has closed all public playgrounds. This includes all playgrounds in Housing Communities.  As a precaution, please make sure to stay safe by staying off of all playground equipment.  Any questions, please contact the Housing Office at 704-920-6100.
