We regret to inform you that the waitlist for Section 8 and Public Housing is currently closed. At this time, there is no anticipated date for when the waitlist will reopen. We understand the importance of housing assistance and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The Concord Housing Department staff are working diligently to assess interest and eligibility of existing waitlist individuals. The current Section 8 waitlist has more than 1,100 applicants and Public Housing has over 1,100 applicants.

Please continue to check our website at https://concordnc.gov/Departments/Housing for updates regarding the status of our waitlists.  We will provide new information as soon as it becomes available
