Concord Regional Airport

CONCORD REGIONAL AIRPORT IS A CITY OF CONCORD OWNED FACILITY

Located about 15 minutes northeast of Charlotte's central business district, the City of Concord Regional Airport (Airport code: JQF) is more than just the best way in and out of Charlotte. Our airport’s proximity to I-85 puts it in the heart of the highest growth corridor in North Carolina and offers convenient access to Charlotte Motor Speedway, the new Z-max Dragway, Concord Mills Mall, premier golf courses, local business parks, and restaurants. Open “24 / 7”, we offer a secure ramp area and control tower as well as on site fire and rescue personnel. Come experience our “Southern Hospitality” and our “award winning customer service” for yourself. We think you will agree Concord Regional Airport is the only choice when flying into the Charlotte/Concord area.

Concord Regional Airport is owned and operated by the City of Concord and is a member of the North Carolina Airports Association. The tower is contracted and belongs to the United States Contract Tower Association.

CITY OF CONCORD REGIONAL AIRPORT
HAS 7,400 FEET RUNWAY

Concord Regional Airport has a 7,400 feet runway which was recently overlayed and strengthened to support aircraft landing weights of up to 129,000 pounds. The runway improvements improve safety and allow pilots to take off and land with greater fuel and passenger capacities.

As the home of Charlotte Motor Speedway and a linked, city owned championship golf course (designed by the celebrated Dan Maples), Concord continues to lure clientele of business and industry leaders both for work and play. Small wonder that Concord is no longer a "best -kept secret."

The City of Concord and Concord Regional Airport are proud to be neighbors to the North Carolina Research Campus, a mixed use research facility located in downtown Kannapolis, about 10 miles from the Airport.

The NCRC is the newest research and technology hub in the United States.  The 350-acre campus houses some of the most state-of-the-art laboratory space available and is expected to become home to over 100 biotechnology companies.  The facility incorporates corporate, academic, commercial, and residential space, with an orientation towards R&D and Biotechnology. The complex is a collaborative project involving multiple state universities with many other private/corporate investors and developers.
